South Africa

The Republic of South Africa is located at the southern tip of Africa and stretching along coastline of more than 1500 miles. The coastal weather keeps parts of the country tropical while the interior of the country is more desert-like.

South Africa is home to a diversity of cultures, languages, and traditions including both African and European influences. Food, music, and dance feature prominently in the lives of South Africans, and many tourists will attest that these are some of the most memorable parts of their visit to the country. Other cultural pastimes include art, music, and literature, as well as the ever-popular sports of soccer/football and rugby.
Not to be outdone, however, is the breathtaking scenery and animal life. Safari opportunities are abundant throughout South Africa whether you are visiting a game reserve or simply out on a park excursion. Many tourists to South Africa come specifically for the chance to glimpse the “Big 5” at a game park – lion, leopard, African elephant, rhinoceros, and cape buffalo.

A trip to South Africa is often a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people. But there should be no hesitation is making reservations to visit Johannesburg, Cape Town, the Garden Route, or one of the many national parks available year round to visitors.
